For 60 years they have run invisibly underground while serving as the lifelines of modern buildings — the underfloor systems from OBO’s Ackermann brand. In 1955, Ackermann invented the first modern underfloor system and thereby revolutionized electrical installation in office and administrative buildings.

Today, OBO Bettermann GmbH & Co. KG in Menden (Sauerland) is one of the leading producers of electrical infrastructure, with 3,600 employees worldwide in over 60 countries and 40 subsidiaries.

OBO Bettermann uses our catXmedia PIM system as a media-asset-management, editorial, translation and proofreading system to manage the product data of its more than 30,000 articles, which are published in catalogs worldwide in over 40 languages.

In doing so, OBO uses our DirectTranslation translation management within catXmedia, with automated workflow, controlling and statistics functions. With crossDot, OBO Bettermann manages and translates its website automatically, format-safely and workflow-supported in a total of 34 languages.

The label printing for OBO Bettermann’s entire product range is also handled via a solution developed by lisocon.
