With screw connections, faulty installation and poor maintenance have catastrophic consequences: loose contacts, short circuits, electric shocks. These are unacceptable risks that WAGO has countered for over 50 years with quality-tested, cost-reducing components.

Two business divisions separate WAGO’s product range. The ELECTRICAL INTERCONNECTIONS division emerged shortly after the company was founded in the 1950s. It included, among other things, the first complete terminal-block family with self-supporting contact inserts. In the 1990s, the ELECTRONIC division was added, which comprised the first fieldbus-independent WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM.

Due to the rapid development, WAGO decided to align the division’s name with the more common market term AUTOMATION. Both divisions form the solid foundation of the company. Over the years and decades they have produced a wide variety of product families that have not only proven themselves but in many cases define the state of the art.

WAGO uses crossDot, the bidirectional interface between OpenText (formerly RedDot) and Across. All translations of 28 languages for the website are controlled via the intelligent crossDot interface — automated, format-safe and workflow-supported through a web interface.

WAGO relies on our InTO software to pre-translate all catalogs and product sheets for 17 languages, saving up to 80% of translation costs through reduced translation effort. www.wago.de
